I'm optimistic that in the coming days life will slow down a bit and I will get back to painting and posting. It's been very hectic these past few weeks since the Crawl. The week following the Crawl I was more or less catching my breath. Since then I've been busy with different things and currently I am enjoying a visit with Julie, my best friend who lives in New York state. I have known Julie since we both worked at the University libraries some 25 years ago. Most of our adult life we have lived hundreds of miles apart, but are bond to one another through common life experiences as artists who happen to be mothers and wives who make their living in other ways. We are both finding ways to spend more time on our art.
I have found some time in the past week to do some beading. I plan to be selling some jewelry at the fall Art Crawl.
But I am anxious to start painting again. Already the deadline for the poster competition for the fall Art Crawl has been announced (June 30th). I am also planning to submit a work for consideration for the State Fair Fine Arts competition. I've always wanted to do that and this year I'm commited to doing it! (It's easy to submit a work, but I understand the competition is fierce...but hey, there's no harm in trying!)
So thanks for your patience with my absence. This coming week I plan to finally upload pics from the crawl...and when I do, I'll post them here.
Until then...

You can do it!
You make beautiful jewelry and your paintings are beautiful and compelling.
I know that one of these days your work will be on the cover of the ARTCRAWL catalog!
